Our August meeting was held on August 1st. September‘s meetings will be on the 5th and 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the Re-source Center in Congress. Things are getting close and we are trying to get everything in place. I am happy to report that our permits have been received from Yavapai County for the event and from ADOT for the parade.
So far we have several Sponsors and they are:
Gold Sponsors: Wickenburg Air, Squash Blossom Nursery, Serenity Farms and Stewart Hardware. Stewarts have a coupon in their ad which has to be validated by Old Congress Days. Just stop by the Info Booth, located near the stage in front of the Resource Center, to get your coupon validated.
Silver Sponsors: Nichols West, Gun Trader, Double D Western and Best Western.
Copper Sponsors: Sierra Vista Motel, Jones Ford, Taylor‘s Herb Garden and Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Our Friends so far are: John Burke, Evelyn & King Houston, Weaver Mountain Estates HOA, Jack & Darlene Adrian, Jerold & Margaret Balch, David & Barbara Gross, Bob & Deanna Gilbert, Earle & Gretta Peaslee, Conan & Bev Beesley, Chuck & Marlene Hagan, George & Dianne Stefanini, Tony & Linda Monteleone, Vern & Joan Steinfort, Ken & Ursula Ashby, Mike & Judy Brisso, Ann Gee, Dr. Roy Anderson, Larey & Joyce Vasquez, Ron & Judy Koressel and Patricia L. It is not too late if you would like to become a Friend or Sponsor. If you are interested in being a Vendor, contact Sandi Taylor at 928-427-0123 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking for more great Raffle prizes. We have already received a landscape package from Squash Blossom, a Tim Cox print from Double D and a beautiful quilt from Lee Morrison.
If anyone would like to donate, please give Darlene a call at 928-427-9637 or King at 928-427-6325. Our Raffle drawing will be at noon on Sunday, October 7th. We are non-profit and all monies earned go back into the Community. Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. This is definitely a Community effort but we cannot do it without your help.
